Acquiring a concurrent licenseThe software acquires a license for you as soon as you use a command on the Analyse-it ribbon tab, so you rarely need to do this yourself. Acquire a license yourself to check one is available before you start work, or to acquire one again after releasing it.

  • Activate the software with a concurrent-user license.
  • If your computer is behind a firewall, open TCP port 443 (HTTPS) for communication to license-server.analyse-it.com.
  1. Start Microsoft Excel to start Analyse-it.
  2. On the Analyse-it ribbon tab, click Analyse-it, and then click Acquire.

    The software connects to the license server and acquires a license.

If a license is acquired, you can use the software. If every license is in use, try again later or ask someone to release one; see Releasing a concurrent license. If that happens often, you need more concurrent-user licenses.
