Purchasing Analyse-it

  •  Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

    Yes, we're proud to stand behind our products and offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases (that includes new licenses and upgrades). If you are not happy for any reason, contact us and we will be happy to revoke the license and refund you in full.

  •  Are my credit card details secure?

    Yes, if you choose to pay by credit card you can be assured your details are secure. We are PCI DSS compliant, we use Braintree for all payment processing, and we do not store your credit card information on our servers so your details can never be obtained from us.

  •  What do I receive when I buy online?

    When you purchase Analyse-it you will receive a product key to unlock the software and a link to download the software. The product key is sent by e-mail or you can log-in to your account to get the product keys for licenses.

  •  Can I get the software on CD-ROM?

    Distribution by download is now easier so we no longer provide the software on CD-ROM. And since we issue updates regularly the software on the CD-ROM is soon out of date. You can download the software from our web-site whenever you need it, and you can of course keep a backup copy on CD-ROM, on a USB stick, or whatever other storage media you wish.

  •  Can I download and reinstall the software again in future

    Yes you can download and reinstall the software as many times as you wish, provided you comply with the terms of the license agreement.

  •  How soon will my order be processed?

    If you purchase online and choose to pay by credit card the order will be processed immediately. The invoice/receipt and product key to activate the software is sent by e-mail within 10 minutes. If you choose to pay by check or bank transfer your order will not be processed until we receive your payment.

    You can also send a purchase order by e-mail or fax. We will endeavor to process orders the same day, when received in office hours, otherwise within 24-hours.

  •  Will sales tax apply on my order?

    VAT may apply on sales to customers in the United Kingdom and the EU. The UK rate applied on sales before the 1st January 2015, after which the law changed so customers in the EU are now charged VAT at their local country rate (unless they can zero rate).

    For customers in the USA, Canada, Australia and other countries, no sales tax applies. Import duty may apply though and you are responsible for paying it.

  •  What methods of payment are accepted?

    You can make payment by VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit card, by check, by bank transfer, or on invoice for organisations with established credit history. If you choose to pay by check or bank transfer your order will not be processed until payment is received.

  •  Will I be automatically charged for maintenance or annual license renewal?

    No, you will not. Renewal is optional, not mandatory. If you want to continue using Analyse-it you must physically place an order to renew an annual license when it expires (it is not an ongoing subscription), and similarly, you must place an order to renew maintenance.

  •  In what currency will I be charged?

    Payment can be made in GBP£ (pounds sterling), EUR€ (Euros) or USD$ (US dollars). You can choose the currency during checkout, so if one currency if more favorable to you, choose that. Your credit card will then be charged, or your invoice created, in the chosen currency.

  •  Can I send a purchase order and then pay on invoice?

    If your organisation has an established credit history we are happy to accept a purchase order and invoice you for the software. Our terms are payment within 30-days of the invoice date. You can fax the purchase order or send it by e-mail, see how to contact us.

  •  Can I get a quote for my purchasing department?

    Yes, add the products you are interested in purchasing into the cart then click the Save as Quote button (on the cart page). We will need your address so we can estimate sales taxes that might apply, then the quote will be generated (as an Adobe PDF). The quote will be valid for 30-days and you will be provided with a link so you can return to the quote if you want to complete the purchase online.

  •  Is Analyse-it available through resellers?

    Yes you can purchase Analyse-it through a local reseller if you prefer, see authorized resellers. Alternatively contact your nearest reseller and ask them to contact us to purchase on your behalf.

  •  Can you provide me with a W9/W8-BEN for US tax purposes?

    We are based wholly in England in the United Kingdom, so for US tax purposes we are classed as a Foreign Corporation. For IRS purposes you can download our W8-BEN below:

Licensing types

  •  Is the license an annual subscription or perpetual license for a one-off payment?

    We offer both options: perpetual licenses that do not expire, and annual licenses that expire after 1-year.

    A perpetual license grants you a permanent, non-expiring license, so you can use the software as long as you wish without further cost. The license includes 1-year of maintenance so you will receive all software updates for 1-year. After that time you can pay to renew maintenance and continue getting updates, or you can let maintenance lapse but continue to use the software up to the latest version released during your maintenance period. You will receive an e-mail shortly before maintenance expires to remind you to renew.

    Annual licenses let you use the software for 1-year and must be renewed to continue using the software. You receive all software updates during the annual license period. Renewal is not automatic. You will receive an e-mail shortly before the license expires so you can renew.

  •  What is the difference between per-user and per floating-user licenses?
    License type Advantages Disadvantages
    Per-user licenses allow a user to install and use Analyse-it on a desktop PC and optionally on a laptop PC for use when out of the office. The license is assigned to a user, and you need a license for each user to install it on their PC.
    • Better for users that use the software often, and need exclusive and immediate access to the software at all times

    • No internet connection required
    • Not cost-effective when many users need only occasional use of the software
    Per floating-user licenses allow you to share a group of licenses among many users. You can install the software on as many PCs as you wish, and licenses will be allocated to users when they start Analyse-it on their PC. When they close Analyse-it the license is released and another user can then start Analyse-it. The number of floating-user licenses determines the maximum number of users who can use the software at once.
    • Better when many users only need occasional use of the software
    • Better use of available licenses
    • Easier license management
    • More expensive
    • Users may be denied access to the software when they most need it, if all licenses are currently in use
    • Requires an internet connection for license management
  •  Will I receive updates to the software?

    All new licenses include 1-year of maintenance, which provides you with priority technical support and software updates. After that you can, optionally, renew maintenance to continue receivinmg updates top the software. See maintenance.

  •  Is technical support available after purchase?

    Technical support is free, so if you have any questions on how to install, reinstall, or use Analyse-it just contact us for help.

  •  Can I install the software on two PCs?

    Each per-user (not floating-user) license allows a single user to install the software on their desktop PC, and also, if they wish, on their home/laptop PC for use outside the office. The only condition is that both installations of the software are used only by the single user, and not shared between two users.

  •  Can I purchase a cross-grade from one edition of Analyse-it to another?

    Yes, you can cross-grade to a different edition of Analyse-it for just the difference in price. See upgrades.

  •  Can I purchase additional licenses in future at a discount?

    Yes, if you buy additional licenses the price is discounted such that you will pay the same as if you had purchased all the licenses at once. See additional licenses.

Maintenance & upgrades

  •  What is maintenance?

    Maintenance is optional and provides you with priority technical support and access to all updates to the software during your maintenance period. This includes major and minor releases, which include new features, improvements to the documentation, bug fixes, and support for the latest versions of Microsoft Excel.

    If you purchase an annual license, maintenance is included in the cost and terminates when the license expires. Therefore maintenance is not available separately.

    If you purchase a perpetual (non-expiring) license, 1-year of maintenance is included with the initial purchase. You can extend maintenance for either another 1- or 3-years at a time, and we will notify you shortly before maintenance expires so you can renew. You can let maintenance lapse and still continue to use the software up to the latest version released within your maintenance period.

  •  How much does maintenance cost?

    Maintenance for 1-year costs 20% of the current cost of your license, but if you renew maintenance before it expires then the cost is reduced to 10%. For example if you have a 2-user license for the Analyse-it Standard edition, currently costing US$ 468.00, an additional year of maintenance costs US$ 93.60, but would only cost US$ 46.80 if renewed before expired.

  •  What happens after maintenance expires?

    For perpetual licenses you can continue using the software after maintenance expires. You will, however, only have access to versions of the software released up to the maintenance expiry date.

  •  Maintenance has expired, can I renew it?
    Yes, you can renew maintenance even after it has expired, see How much does maintenance cost? above.
  •  How can I see when maintenance expires for a license?

    To check the maintenance expiry date and cost to renew maintenance for 1- and 3-years, see maintenance.

  •  Will I get a reminder before maintenance expires?

    We will e-mail you 30 days before maintenance on your licenses expires and again a few days before it expires, so you have plenty of time to renew at the discounted price.

  •  If I renew maintenance when will the new maintenance start?

    Renewing maintenance extension will extend the maintenance expiry date, if maintenance has not expired, or will be relative from the date of purchase. So if maintenance expires in 1 months time, and you purchase 1-year maintenance extension, the new maintenance expiry date will 13 months from now. But if maintenance has expired then a 1-year maintenance extension would extend the expiry date to 1-year from today.

  •  Can I renew maintenance early?

    Yes, of course. If you renew earlier the maintenance expiry date on the license is simply extended by 1- or 3-years depending which extension option you choose.
