Measurement systems analysis (MSA)

Measurement systems analysis is the study of a measurement system to ensure it can meet requirements.

• Precision
  Precision is the closeness of agreement between measured quantity values obtained by replicate measurements on the same or similar objects under specified conditions.
• Trueness
  Trueness is the closeness of agreement between the average of an infinite number of replicate measured quantity values and a reference quantity value.
• Detection capability
  Detection capability describes the performance of a measurement system at small measured quantity values.
