There are many different models that you can fit including simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, analysis of variance (ANOVA), analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), and binary logistic regression.

Linear fit
A linear model describes the relationship between a continuous response variable and one or more explanatory variables using a linear function.
Logistic / Probit fit
A model that describes the relationship between a categorical response variable and one or more explanatory variables using a logit or probit function.
