Creating a histogram

Plot a histogram to visualize the distribution of a quantitative variable.

1. Select a cell in the dataset.
2. On the Analyse-it ribbon tab, in the Statistical Analyses group, click Distribution > Histogram, and then click the plot type.
   The analysis task pane opens.
3. In the Y drop-down list, select the variable.
4. In the Plot drop-down list, select the frequency scale.
5. Optional: To label the bars with the frequencies, select the Label bars check box.
6. Optional: To show the frequency table, select the Frequency table check box.
7. Optional: To customize the classes of the frequency distribution, in the Start at, Width, and Classes edit boxes, type the values to form the classes.
8. Click Calculate.
